Fr. John Anglin, OFM and Mr. Pete Suarez will be facilitating our Advent Parish Mission. This year’s theme: Living the Joy of the Gospel.
With so many challenging issues facing us today it is tempting to succumb to a mood of darkness and sadness, yet Pope Francis calls us to live the Joy of the Gospel. Just what is joy, however? Is it something more than just putting on a smile? During these days we will see that Joy is something deep within us if we have truly embraced Jesus’ call to discipleship.
Day one: A Loving God: The Cause of our Joy
Day Two: The Gift of Mercy– evening session will include our Parish Penance Service.
Day Three: Caring for our Common Home, Mercy for our Brothers and Sisters and for all God’s Creatures.
Each day, the morning sessions of the parish mission will begin with Mass at 8am and the evening sessions will begin at 6:30pm. The mission will be in English and Spanish simultaneously.
We will have activities for the teens with babysitting for the children at the evening sessions.
Light refreshments will be served after Monday and Wednesday night sessions.
