In Christ, We are the United Family of God

Daily Reflection –Saturday, May 9th, 2020

In today’s Gospel Reading (John 14:7-14), Philip asks Jesus: show us the Father. Jesus replies, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. For I am in the Father and the Father is in me.” Jesus uses this theological language in the Gospel of John, to reveal the unity which he shares with the Father, a unity that we his followers are called to share.

Through the paschal mystery of his passion and resurrection, Jesus has given us a share in God’s life. Our Savior promises that whatever we ask in his name, he will do. So, as we journey through the Easter season, may our words and deeds show that we are indeed, more united in God through Christ who gives us a share in the divine life. AMEN.

Peace be with you!
