“Let us be generous as God is to us”

Daily Reflection- Tuesday, March 24th, 2020

Today’s Readings help us see to God’s generosity toward us.

In the First Reading (Ezekiel 47: 1-12), the life-giving water flowing from the Temple, is a reminder of the continuous outpouring of God’s providential love, grace and mercy for us and for all creation.

Jesus Divine Mercy

In the Gospel (John 5:1-16), Jesus cures a man who had been ill for decades. The man had tried for many years to be healed in the waters of Bethesda, but no one offered help to get him to the pool. Jesus saw the need and responded. It was out of pure generosity that Jesus cured this man.

May today’s readings help us appreciate how blessed and cared for by God, we are, and in gratitude, find ways to be even more generous to others. AMEN.

Peace be with you!
