We are Lost Without Jesus

Daily Reflection –Monday, May 4th, 2020

In Chapter 10 of the Gospel of Saint John, we are introduced to Jesus as the Good Shepherd, who establishes a relationship with his sheep. He knows his sheep and they know him. He cares for his sheep and he also lays down his life for them.

Christ — The Studio of John the Baptist

This parable is a way of telling us more about Jesus. As our Good Shepherd, Jesus offers us a life with him. He is the gate through which we enter into the relationship with God the Father. Through his presence in the sacraments, we become part of the Church, the People of God. He transforms our lives, enabling us to find true life as God intends it. It is through Him, and with Him, and in Him that we have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). AMEN.

Peace be with you!

Fr. Frank
